On writing

Writing is something I've always loved and a while ago I delved into the how tos of writing blogs.

There's a LOT of information out there on the internet.  First up I decided on the technical aspects, software, products...do I really want to learn to code? (ummmm, no).

Then there's registering a Domain name and in Australia you have to have an ABN to have a Domain. I got there eventually! It makes life easier for me to have the software and the hosting costs with the one company.

I procrastinated for a time because I got stumped on all the advice surrounding what NOT to do when writing a blog.

It's helpful of people to put out there what they believe won't make a successful blog.  For example, something I read more than once was that the blog must be about something in particular.  Meaning don't write about too many different 'things' as people won't follow the blog.  

Enter my extended procrastination period.  

If I followed that advice then I couldn't write what I want to write.  

So I decided to go ahead and write about things I find interesting, our life living on acreage with my two beautiful sons and all the things we get up to ;)
